There's this guy that I like. I've liked him for about a year. Similar interests in media, he's pretty willing about most things, religion and politics don't clash yada yada
What DOES clash is his pathological need to not be a bother or burden to anyone to the degree that he doesn't communicate genuinely and instead is preemptively trying to have me put in less effort.
And honestly I'm really about to just stop trying again. He will let our relationship fizzle out without a question if I stop putting effort in. He has before. It's no wonder he's lonely at all.
I feel like he doesn't actually desire me to stop but I cannot keep doing this one sided thing. He knows at this point I need direct communication and that I actively dislike him trying to be not a bother.
PEOPLE ARE A BOTHER. FRIENDS ARE A BOTHER.
I was gonna kiss him yesterday but then he did something that made me feel we weren't really close again and I didn't want to.
