So I'm rereading ACOSF and the descriptions of the Island where the prison is sounds like what the Dusk court is supposed to be or was. In ACOSF chapter 53 Nesta says

"The very land seemed abandoned.Like something great existed here and vanished. Like the land still waited for it to return"

Is it just me or does that sound like an Easter egg?

Ok so going deeper into the chapter cassian says Rhys told him the Island might have been an eight court, so that means the Dusk court isn't completely forgotten. And there are stars and constellations around the chamber where the harp was stored. And the harp sits above an eight pointed star.

The legend books remember the Asteri. Not as 'the Asteri' but as the dalgan. Chapter 55 acosf

" They were petty and cruel and drank the magic of the world like wine."

MAJOR HOSAB SPOILERS

Rigelus said they previously visited two fae lands. one where they were only able to lure part of them to midgard while the other one fought against them: Prythian. It explains why in midgardian Fae lore they say the starswords' twin knife was left back at their home land. That knife is Azriel's knifein Prythian.

There are seven courts, four seasonal and three solar. The seasonal courts represent the four seasons but the solar courts only represent three parts of the solar cycle:

Dawn, Day and Night. but the solar cycle is Dawn, Day, Dusk, then Night.

Dusk is the time between day and night, when it starts to get dark and the stars start to come out.

If the hidh Fae of the Night court don't have the power to contol starlight and shadows then who else will? The Dusk court

It also explains how no one knows where Azriels power of shadows comes from. Maybe he's the last member of the Dusk court. The shadow powers are not strange to midgardian fae( who are the Dusk court). It also kinda explains why only the royals of the midgardian fae have the powers. They're high fae or what they call starborn.

I think the only part of The Prythian fae that the Asteri were able to lure to midgard was the entire dusk court and some fae from other courts.

Rigelus said they made fearsome warriors, prototypes of the angels in the old fae world (Prythian), is that the illyrians?
