Date Night
꩜ Pairing: 2D x Reader
꩜ Summary: You and 2D’s date night takes an unexpected turn. Now you’re hauling Noodle along for the ride.
2D had asked you on a date. You two weren’t ’official’ but with the way you acted you might as well have been. He came your door (even though you were right across the hall) with flowers and bumbled like a nervous teen. It was sweet so you couldn’t refuse. However, a certain little munchkin caught wind of this outing to the carnival and figured she was invited as well.
While 2D was getting ready Noodle had found her way into his room and asked him to fix her hair. “What’s the occasion?” He asked while brushing out her hair. “カーニバル!” (“Carnival!”) She beamed. Then it dawned on him, she thought she was going too. “Oh, Noodle love-“ he looked at her sweet puppy dog eyes and couldn’t tell her no…he wasn’t sure if anyone had ever told her no so he decided to let her join. It couldn’t hurt.
You were getting your shoes on and waiting by the door when 2D came in, holding Noodle’s hand as she bounced up and down excitedly. “Where’s she going?” You asked. “With us…” he sighed. “I couldn’t tell her no!” You found it sweet. “Well I guess you’re coming with us.” You lifted Noodle up and carried her. She happily clung to you, sputtering out a million words a minute.
The bustling crowd and blaring music made you a little anxious so you kept Noodle close. You didn’t want her getting lost in the sea of people. She immediately started pulling you two towards a baseball toss game with a plush prize she really wanted. “見て! すごくかわいい! あれを私に取ってきてくれない?” (“Look! It’s so cute! Can you win it for me?”) She yanked at 2D’s arm while jumping up and down. “A-Alright, calm down.” He went fumbling for his wallet to pay the carny. The pressure was really one. He had you to impress and win that prize for Noodle. He got three balls and missed the tower of bottles each time. He looked down at Noodle who didn’t look thrilled so he played again but still lost. “もっとうまく投げろ!” (“Throw better!”) He tried again, and again…and again. “Faceache.” She mumbled which really threw him off. “Is that the English you know?” She definitely picked it up from Murdoc. You sighed and pulled out your wallet. “I’ll try.” You were able to knock down all the bottles in one go and won Noodle her prize which was a large stuffed tiger she insisted on carrying herself even though it was twice her size. 2D looked at you in awe. “That was brilliant.” “You impressed?” You purred. “Definitely!”
You rode all kinds of ride, ate lots of sugary foods, and had a real fun time. “観覧車! 観覧車!” (“Ferris wheel! Ferris wheel!”) Noodle went running off towards the ride. You and 2D had to chase after her.
When you get on the ride you sit Noodle between you two. You take in the nighttime view. The air made you shiver. 2D noticed and wrapped his arm around you. He caressed your arm to warm up the chill bumps prickling on your arms. “I’ve had fun.” He mumbled. “Me too.” You smiled. You two were close so he decided to muster up the courage to lean in for a kiss which you happily accepted. “BLEHG!” Noodle gagged. You broke the kiss and looked down at her with a smirk. “Are you feeling left out?” You pulled her into your lap and showered her face in kisses. “いやだ! いやだ! 助けて! 彼女が私を殺そうとしている!” (“NO! NO! HELP! She’s trying to kill me!”) She squealed and tried wiggling away, making 2D cackle. This was the best date ever.
As you were about to leave you stumbled across a Photo Booth so you HAD to get some photos. The three of you piled into the small booth. Then bench was so small you had to sit in 2D’s lap and poor Noodle had to stand. 2D held you by the hips tightly as to not drop you. You made silly faces and a few cute one. For the last picture you kissed 2D’s cheek which made he get all blushy.
The crowd was starting to filter out and you all did the same. You carried the picture and Noodle’s tiger while 2D gave her a piggyback ride. She was tired but seemed content with her day and so were you.
