Recovery means many things. Recovery means waking up at 3 in the morning and grabbing a snack before you go back to sleep. It means finding what you love to do and savoring it. It means counting your hobbies instead of calories. It means recovering for not only yourself but for the ones you love. It means doing cartwheels on soft grass without getting tired and going out with friends without feeling overwhelmed with thoughts of food and your weight. It means you lift the weight of the world off of you, that you finally find healthy ways of reducing your stress. Recovery means constipation and diarrhea and bloated tummies but it’s worth it no matter how your body handles it. It means dancing on good days and laying in bed on bad days. It means you become yourself again, become who you always wanted to be, become you. It means sleeping through the night without waking up and thinking about how much you weigh. It means your metabolism balancing itself out, your body knowing what to do with the food you eat. Recovery means petting your animals and taking good care of them. It means you know how to take care of things and people and animals and you know how to love. You get your emotions back, good emotions and bad. But every emotion matters. Your emotions are valid. Recovery means maybe being more sensitive than you were when you were sick, but embracing it. It means you don’t necessarily know your weight but you’re okay with it. You don’t need to know anymore. Recovery means you find yourself and grow and you make sure nobody stomps on your soil. It means you are in tune with your body. It means your therapist is proud of you, they want to keep watching you grow. Recovery means self love and acceptance. Recovery means finally knowing what is right for your mind, what is right for your body, and what is right for you.

Our lord and savior, Margot Robbie.
You shouldn’t chase people. You should know that you are important enough and deserve the time and attention just like everyone else. You shouldn’t run after people to prove that you matter and exist. You are worth it, more than you could ever imagine. You are a star that could sparkle on anyone’s night sky. You are everything in someone’s eyes. Remember, do not chase, let them know your worth because if you have to chase, it’s not real love. It’s not worth it.

Life hack: If you’re not interested in someone, tell them. Stringing that person along and/or cheating on them is one of the shittiest things you can do in life. Be considerate and let that person find someone in life that will appreciate them like they should be appreciated.
Let’s have the conversations we’re not having. Let’s talk about why we don’t talk. Let’s tell each other what we’re really thinking. Let’s lay out our hurts. Our hang-ups. Our hearts. Let’s admit our failures and ask each other’s forgiveness. Let’s show each other who we really are and see if there can still be an us after that. -let’s talk
