“Next shot on me!”
“Can’t tell if that was metaphorical or not.”
“Actually, I was being completely serious.”
“It feels like I’m missing something here.”
“Very likely.” Damon shrugged. “Be a good time to get drunk if you ask me.” He smiled as he handed over the bottle.
Lydia bit her lip, head canting to the side as she took the bottle. Offering a half smile with a head nod. “Thank you.” She whispered, taking a drink. “Rough day for you too?”
“I’m just....I give up anymore. There’s really no point in trying right now.”
Jackson smirked and squeezed at her leg gently before he nodded. “Flowers… I could do that.” He explained, turning his head so he could kiss the top of her own. “Thanks again, Lyds.”
Lydia offered a half smile, glancing over at Jackson. A smile still half on her lips. “And just explain to here where you were coming from. Make sure to tell her you won’t do it again.” She mused, closing her eyes and nodding. “No problem. Just want you both happy.”
“Well, that’s no good.”
“My immune system just hates me.”
Jace nodded and pulled her up slowly, moving a hand to her side just incase if she lost balance or anything of that sort. ‘’Yeah, I know.’’ He said with a smile, looking her over. ‘’You don’t feel lightheaded or anything? I just wanna be sure. I’m worried..’’ He muttered, his eyes finally settling back on hers.
Lydia’s eyebrows furrowed. Looking up at the male and nodding a little before looking down. She felt fine in all honesty. The strawberry blonde gave a small smile, leaning against him a little bit. “No, I feel fine. I promise that I’m okay. Just surprised.”
“Have you tried Airborne? Maybe drink some tea.”
“Damn it, I knew that I went to the store for something.”
Studying her with a concerned look, Jace nodded and looked her over to see if she had hurt herself.
Lydia blinked a few times, looking around before finally looking at Jace. She felt okay, she had scrapes and bruises, but she was okay. “I’m okay.”
“Vitamin C is your best friend, little banshee.”
“I’ve been drinking orange juice like it’s water. “
‘’—- Shit! You alright?!’’
Lydia groaned, rubbing her head. “I don’t know, give me a minute.”
“Pretty sure that I’m getting sick.”

“Someone’s as cocky as ever.” He teased, exhaling softly as she leaned against him, his own head gently leaning against her own before he spoke again. “Any tips on fixing the horrible mess I created?”
“Oh, totally.” The strawberry blonde chuckled slightly. Closing her eyes and just relaxing for a moment. She looked over at the other, eyebrows furrowed. “Flowers are a good start. And you being there for her is another one.”
Listening to her speak, Jackson swallowed the lump in his throat and closed his eyes. “You’re amazing… ” He mumbled. He had no idea how she compartmentalized her feelings but hearing her say that and knowing it wasn’t a lie struck something inside him. “You have no idea how much that means.” Jackson reached over in return and placed his hand on her leg gently. “I really hope you’re right.”
It was time to let go, Lydia knew that. She needed to let go of her feelings for Jackson. She furrowed her eyebrows, scuffing softly. "Nah, not really." She shrugged. Lydia was just letting go, him and Allison both deserved to be happy and she wasn't going to stand in the way. She leaned against him slightly, inhaling. "I'm a genius, of course I'm right."
