So i'm gonna talk about my oc x canon ship cause why tf not lmao
Anyways, their ship name is 'style' hehe (cause it's stan + kyle)
They've been together before over the decades:
once in the 70s, as Kris Crawford and Andrew Alcatraz. Kyle (kris) was hitchhiking and caught a ride with Stan. Eventually kyle decided to stick with stan for a bit, but did eventually snag his wallet before leaving him in the motel room in the early hours.
Another time they were together was in 1981, both were working for Rico. Kyle ran drugs and made deals, Stan took care of any "competition." They were paired up for a while, and while i wouldn't say they fell in love, they kinda fell in love lmao. Neither recognized the other, since Kyle had been on testosterone for a while and the changes to his appearance made him unrecognizable. Kyle didn't recognize stan since he looked different (mullets do that ig) and his memory issues were starting to begin. (They technically have fake names but i cant remember the ones i had picked for them rn lol)
But this time, Stan was the one to leave. He got the postcard from Ford, and left Kyle without saying anything. That was one thing that Kyle never forgot.
They meet again in Greasy's since Kyle is working there as a waiter, and Stan becomes one of his regulars. At the end of Headhunters, Stan offers for Kyle to stay in the storage room where the wax figures were after overhearing him joking with Susan about him living out of his van. They don't really start dating until after Scary-oke, when they're trying to wind down after fighting off all the zombies.
During the events of the show, they didn't realize who the other was until ATOTS. Kyle found stan's fake ids and remembered who he was. Kyle confronts him right before Ford said he would throw Stan out at the end of the summer. And Ford also immediately tells Kyle to leave, since he doesn't want someone who isn't even family to reside in his house any longer. Kyle is outraged at Ford and goes off on him, attempting to punch him, but is held back by Stan, who argues that Kyle should get to stay til the end of summer since he'd paid three months rent in advance (he hadn't). Ford reluctantly agrees to these terms.
Kyle is mad at stan for lying about who he really was, so he doesn't really talk to stan much, and tells him they need a break while he tries to figure out what to do. They do make up at the end of Roadside Attraction, where while Stan's telling Dipper about how he doesn't really know what he's doing, he says something along the lines of "And I should've been honest and not pushed people away, i should've trusted them." or something idk
Ofc kyle is devasted after the events of Weirdmageddon, and tries his best to help with stan's memory recovery. They agree to start dating after Stan returns from his sailing trip with ford since it'll give them both time to get their shit together. Of course, their issues are not magically resolved, and they do eventually have to learn how to communicate (not easy since they're stubborn old men lmao)
