Oh and you don’t have to keep wasting money to print new ones because people are gonna have it already. bonus points, you’re memorable because you’re the guy with laminated business cards.

I’m not sold on carrying anything on my person that could be a weapon, and it just seems kind of wasteful to take a perfectly functional, environmentally friendly business card and... coat it in plastic. I like to think I’ll be memorable enough all on my own.

Not really high on my list of worries. I don’t write on my own, but I got a small stack this weekend and needed to jot down reminders to myself on each to keep them all straight. I don’t carry a Sharpie in my pants pocket, but somebody usually has a pen.

Well it also helps that I’m pretty awesome. Good because I’d probably hate whatever china pattern you picked out - just not a fan of most sets. I like to know my guys before I settle into anything and yeah, most of the time I’m just hooking up with guys, having a good time, but it’s not always like that. I can’t say that I’m ready to be in a relationship exactly - not yet, but it isn’t because I scorn them or anything. It’s more I know if I just know what happens when someone does that. People get into relationships not entirely knowing who they’re getting into it with, they learn more in the relationship that they don’t like, then they break up and it hurts worse than if they had just been dating, keeping it lowkey as they learned more about each other and then went exclusive. 

Not arguing with that at all -- you certainly make an impression. Fair enough, china selection IS pretty subjective. That’s a perfectly valid, reasonable approach to dating, especially since it works for you. I tend to get invested too quickly, and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s just dating or whatever -- it still hurts. It really wouldn’t be fair for me to ask for more than you’re willing to give, but I also know that I want -- well, the whole sweeping romance, even if it sounds dumb.

Exactly. I like to think it’s the fact that I have similar experiences that makes them trust me more. Can’t say I’m looking for anything. I never really liked the idea of looking for something, but rather just letting it show up when it does. You seemed interesting so I asked you out. I wasn’t planning a wedding or anything so if that’s the level of committment you were wanting right this second, sorry. 

That kind of trust isn’t easy to earn, I imagine. It’s to your credit that you can, similar experiences or not. I was interested -- still am, you’re a very intriguing person, Ridley. I’m not picking out china patterns yet either, I’ve just been in too many situations where the other person realized they really didn’t want a boyfriend tying them down. And I function better in a committed relationship than casual or friends with benefits, I’ve learned that the hard way, too.

So you can relate to them on more than one level, then? That’s pretty great, I think -- sort of proof that youthful indiscretions don’t have to derail your whole life. I do, and thank you -- I appreciate it. It’s not that you didn’t pass some arbitrary test or anything, I just get the feeling you’re not really looking for a serious relationship right now. Am I wrong? Because you’ve surprised me before, not gonna lie.

I think I could handle occasional visitations, if it comes down to it. Are you doing any sort of formal obedience training, or just working with them yourself? They’re sweethearts, whatever you’re doing. Oh -- thank you! It’s been a rush, both times, and I’ll be sad to finish out the last show tomorrow night. But -- my god, what an experience!

Were you really a delinquent? Or is that poetic license at work? Really good? Stop, I’m blushing, 😉 I don’t know -- full disclosure, I’ve sort of been seeing someone else at the same time, and it feels weird, agreeing to dates with two different guys at once. Sort of like it’s not really fair to either of you, if that makes sense?

I got a little too excited about Halloween at the library yesterday, and now I’m somehow going to finish at least ten books this month. I’m just going to be terrified for a month straight, but that’s fine. I think. I hope.
