Live Update: I am at Disneyland alone!
This is my second time coming to Disneyland alone and I really wanted to share it with you all. Unfortunately I didn’t think to discuss my first trip, but nonetheless, the experience is the same. If anyone is considering coming alone, DO IT. This has honestly been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. 1. You can do single rider on all the big rides! Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, and Splash Mountain all got done in 30 minutes and most of the time was spent simply walking to between the rides. Then you can spend the rest of the time exploring areas you don’t usually visit. 2. You can do what you want, when you want. You don’t have to compromise your favorite rise because your friends want to do something else. Go as fast or slow as you want, ride the same thing 4 times, whatever. 3. You can take the time to capture some awesome photos. If for some reason you do feel awkward about walking around alone, people will think it’s awesome that you’re capturing pictures of the happiest place on earth. 4. You don’t have to worry about geeking out too much in front of people. I always end up visiting with people who like Disneyland significantly less than I do, and I feel like I can’t get as excited as I want to. But when you’re alone, you can really immerse yourself in the Disney experience. Lastly, 5. Nobody cares that you’re alone. They really don’t. Mose people are too invested in their children or party to even notice that you’re standing in line by yourself ( the few lines you will stand in, might I add.) You can bring a book or headphones if you really want to, or you can lost people watch. Anyways, I’m no great photographer but I’ll post pictures of my day for those of you who haven’t been able to visit in a while. :)
Back from a College Hiatus...
Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve opened this blog.
Does anyone still care for updates anymore? I’m thinking about starting it back up.
Hi! So I visited disneyland in 2012 and I hoped to see the Evil Queen that peers through the window. I've seen pictures and heard stories, but I didn't really know where to look for her. Could you give me an exact location for her? Thank you! Have a magical day!
Hey there! The Evil Queen is located on top of Snow White's Scary Adventures in Fantasyland. You'll see a giant glass window above the name for the ride, and it'll look like decoration with the curtains closed. But if you wait a bit you'll see her open the curtains and reveal herself. :)
A good vantage point is just to stand at the Peter Pan ride and look up at the window.
"The Big 5" Ride Posters
Okay so you have to get a fastpass for Fantasmic now but I have another question: we can still sit down if you're down below by the water? And what about the bridge spots, do you have to have a fastpass for that spot? Thanks so much for the info!
I'm pretty sure the area down by the water is reserved for Fastpasses. They intentionally made the bottom area a Fastpass location because they didn't want guests camping out all day.
As for the bridge area, I'm not sure. I have yet to use a Fastpass for the show. From what I've heard, all the "prime" locations are now requiring a Fastpass. However, you can still wait up to 90 minutes before the show for the other spots. If anyone else has more specifics, feel free to share!
All about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!
Opened: September 2, 1979
Re-Opened: March 17, 2014
This is the only ride in Frontierland, inspired by Utah's Bryce Canyon and Arizona's Sedona Peaks! The name comes from an old legend about a mountain in Wyoming that would "thunder" anytime someone tried to take cold from it.
Fun Facts: It took five years to plan this ride and about two years to construct it. The cost for this attraction was almost as much as all of the Disneyland attractions put together at that time!
Tip: Ride twice- once in the day and once at night! It's a completely different experience at night, and you might catch a cool glimpse of Fantasmic!
How often do you go to Disneyland?
Since I got my pass in July I've gone about 6-7 times. I won't be able to go for a while though because I go to school out of state.
Rides with the Single Rider Option:Disneyland Resort: • Matterhorn Bobsleds • Indiana Jones Adventure • Splash Mountain California Adventure: • California Screamin’ • Goofy’s Sky School • Grizzly...

Tips to Going to Disneyland with Little Ones!
Anyone will tell you that going to Disneyland with children versus your peers is a completely different experience. Here are some tips to make the day a little smoother…
-Head to Fantasyland and Toontown first! By midday, both these lands are packed. The kids might still be a little tired in the morning, but they'll wake up once they know they're about to see Peter Pan and Snow White!
-If any of your children are interested in princesses, also make sure to visit the Princess Fantasy Fair earlier in the day! The photo ops are incredible and won't be too busy.
-Grab a spot on a Main Street curb at least 45 minutes before the parade. You can take them around the shops or to get ice cream while another adult waits, but seeing the parade is a huge draw for most kids who visit the park.
-Don't skip The Enchanted Tiki Room or Tarzan's Treehouse! While not as popular of attractions, they provide a different experience than the other attractions. Just not the rainstorm ending of the Tiki Room might be frightening.
