the boys finale to ME
Love how this finale episode showed how The Deep and Homelander are two sides of the same coin. Homelander hates the Deep because he is the Deep. Both longing for love and adoration, and failing desperately actually get it. And we know deep down Homelander hates this “human” part of him.
Only in their final moments do they “apologize” (I say this very loosely since they obviously didn’t mean it). But their sorrys and begging mean nothing anymore. Time and time again, they both refuse to take accountability for their actions, ultimately leading to their demise.
THE BOYS 5.08 Blood and Bone
I was watching 911 Nashville and every time Ryan and Blue appeared I couldn't help but think of Sam and Dean.. Both brothers, the shorter and blonde one is the older and the taller and darker one the younger. Both have problems with their family, only in Nashville Ryan (the eldest son) is dad's favorite, unlike in Spn. Also Dean and Ryan both have an impulsive and determined character, sometimes more closed off than their younger brothers. Blue and Sam are sweeter, more understanding and have a thousand problems on their minds, especially regarding their individuality and abilities.
Regarding what they do, they both work under their father, they follow his rules, except that Ryan, unlike Dean, is esteemed and respected by his father. Nashville is a sort of au of Spn without the supernatural elements and the unhealthy relationship with family.
PLUS, they have a very strong chemistry, and even if Nashville still has to develop, you can already see how the bond between Blue and Ryan will be deepened.
( This isn't to say they're the same, that Nashville copied it, or anything, it's just to say how many similarities they have... Something that it seems no one has noticed😔)
