Yukine Week: Day 6
Home
“Thank you for the meal, Daikoku-san, Kofuku-san.” Yukine said as he finished wiping off the last of the dishes.
“Of course.” “You’re welcome, Yukki!”
Stretching out his arms and yawning, he admitted, “I’m pretty beat, so I think I’m gonna go straight to bed tonight.”
“Don’t blame ya.” Daikoku gave him a grin before patting his shoulder, “Get some sleep.”
“Sweet dreams!” Kofuku echoed from his side.
“Thanks.” He slipped off the apron and hung it at the back of the kitchen before slipping upstairs, where Hiyori and Yato were bickering back and forth about something.
Her eyes flickering to him, Hiyori smiled and greeted, “Hi, Yukine-kun.”
“Yukine, can you tell Hiyori that—”
“I’m not getting involved in any arguments.” He made an x with his arms, “In fact, I’m going to bed.” He bent down and began to unroll his futon.
“Aw, already?” Yato pouted, moving closer to him.
“Between fighting phantoms with you and chores, I’m exhausted.” He sighed, sitting on top of his futon, “I’m honestly still not back at a hundred percent yet. So… yeah, if you guys could go downstairs, that’d be great.”
Yato reached over to tousle his hair, “Alright, we’ll leave. Night.”
“Goodnight, Yukine-kun.” Hiyori called as she got up, moving towards the door.
“Goodnight, Yato, Hiyori.” He answered back.
Once the room was empty and he’d changed into his pajamas, he slipped into the futon and relished the familiar feeling.
Home.
