Val has to be talked down from doing an extravagant promposal to Spell because all his ideas were fire hazards

Spell is lowkey a Disney princess when it comes to wild animals. Val loves it

Turns out Spell was the oblivious one and Val was the one that fell first. We get a couple instances where Val is internally panicking about asking Spell out before chickening out each time, and a funny/sweet moment where Spell talks to Venus about possibly liking Val only for her to go “dude duh”

We also learn Val didn’t even know who Casta was when he met Spell, which Spell is overjoyed about because it meant Val wanted to get to know him for him

Val asks Whisp to help him find Ms. Goblin

Circe in general

In universe, Valentine’s Day apparently actually was named after Val. Val secretly finds this cringe (we also learn why he doesn’t go by his first name: he doesn’t like the meaning)
