Now that's a selection. On the one hand there is the first jojo, who has a very positive and friendly demeanor. Courage and strength are not things I posses, but I feel like the general life attitude is pretty close I'd say
On the other hand bocchi is really funny, because I did watch some bocchi the rock, but I had to stop somewhere in the middle, because watching her being exposed to sitautions where she has to overcome her anxiety made me feel too anxious to keep watching from second hand emotions, which I must say is probably the most bocchi coded behaviour
But overall I'd say jojo, it feels a bit arrogant because he is supposed to be like a completely pure and heroic character, but having similar base principles feels like a stronger connection in this case. Meanwhile bocchi has a more negative outlook (at least in the first half of the first season), which is a pretty stark difference to the current me

I did also think that at least part of your question was about appearances, but I just didn't connect to either, so I didn't remark on it. In the original question I would have probably given 20% to appearance and 80% to character behaviour, but both characters just scored equally low on appearance
If you placed that as my only options in front of me, I'd probably take hypermasculine over becoming a girl. Although the ranking is very much: my current self >>> hypermasculine look > girl
My first thought was also describing the situation as "If you made me choose between potion that turns you hypermasculine and potion that turns you into a girl", but then I remembered that both concepts already exist as steroids and estrogen (I guess steroids don't just do that on their own like estrogen, but they have to stand in as "chemical that makes you more muscular" for the joke). In this scenario maybe the side effects of steroids might sway things? but that's a whole other topic
Yeah, it's a mix of me having relatively strong emotional reactions and an even stronger aversion to anxious situations. Plus I think the parts of her where I am currently different are parts of my old self as well, so that makes watching the same behaviour, have an even stronger reaction
