Yoho, Ame dayo~! Sorry for the long absence! School, work and the server have been taking up a lot of my time, and honestly I just haven’t been consistent on my writing at all. So for the sake of finishing up the requests on my ask box atm, some of my replies are going to be quite short and light hearted. Heck, some are not even mine! @merumoth  (who is!!! So!!!! Amazing!!!!! please read that with Wataru’s voice They are really kind and they work so hard!) literally wrote this whole thing, I only had two sentences there ghhsfhfhsh. I’m super grateful tho! There you go anon! I’m going through a serious case of Shu brain rot so I really enjoyed working on this 

Shu’s room was unusually quiet when I stepped in; his sewing machine wasn't running, and the music he usually listened to in the name of inspiration wasn't playing now that Valkyrie’s leader was sound asleep on his bed. I closed the door behind me really slowly, scared of making any noise that would disturb his precious resting time, so scarce and necessary these days. The clock on the wall marked there were only a couple minutes left before 7pm rolled by, the time in which I had promised to wake Shu up. I set the tray I was carrying on his bedside table, careful not to knock Mademoiselle over. I poured some coffee on the teacups I had brought with me without taking my eyes of his sleeping form. He wasn’t really a fan of the bitter brevage, but his usual tea just wouldn't do this time. I took a look around the the room; mannequins with outfits in various stages of completion were taking up most of the space, rolls of fabric and pattern papers were scattered on the floor, while his habitually pristine desk was a mess of pins, needles, thread, beads and sketches. There were even some bags belonging to a renowned haberdasher at the foot of his bed, still unopened and intact, like he had just dropped everything and plopped down the second he walked through the door. I couldn’t blame him, though.

In any other circumstance, Shu would’ve never even dared to close his eyes with his bedroom in such a state, but with the amount of deadlines hovering over us, tidiness was the least of his concerns. His constant need for perfection, paired with his unwillingness to let anyone besides Mikachin help, made the creation process a lot slower than it should've been, so he almost always ended up burning out sooner rather than later.

The walls were slowly being painted in gold as the sun made its way down in the sky, it’s rays leaking through the lacey curtains. Shu’s face was also being illuminated, giving him an ethereal look, like he was something more akin to an angel than a mere mortal, even more so than usual. His long eyelashes projecting shadows on his cheekbones, slightly parted lips, porcelain like skin, peaceful expression;it all combined in an exquisite view. To my eyes, Shu was a piece of art himself.

I nervously eyed the clock again, noting it was already a couple minutes past the promised hour. With a heavy sigh, I tugged on his sleeve as gently as I could.

“Shu?” I murmured his name softly.

The pink haired man, a light sleeper by nature, sat up slowly, looking around in a clearly confused state. He stared at me for a couple seconds before he spoke.

“Hm? (L/n)? Is it time already?”

He looked so exhausted, the eyebags were so noticeable on his young face. He seemed so frail, almost like a lost child. Even if it was for what he loved the most, I just couldn’t bring myself to let him up.

“No.” I lied, deciding I’d deal with the consequences afterwards. Shu threw me a questioning look. I didn’t really have time to think of a proper excuse, so I went with the first thing that popped into my head. “I just wanted to ask you something… Can we cuddle?”

He didn’t even reply, plopping back onto the mattress and lifting the sheets up just enough for me to slide in next to him. The action took me by surprise, physical contact was never one of his fortes, but I didn’t question him, climbing onto the bed before he could change his mind. He was out like a light before I could even thank him.

His hand found its way to mine, locking our fingers together. For such a capable man, he sure was bad with words. I knew this was his own way of thanking me, though. I probably wouldn’t even have been there if I didn’t. His bed was big enough for both of us to rest comfortably, but that didn’t stop us from merging into a mess of limbs and sheets until I couldn't even tell where Shu started and I ended. He rested his head on my chest; the room was so silent I was sure he could hear my heartbeat. I ran my fingers through his hair, marvelling at how soft his locks were despite the amount of times I had done that in the past. Shu’s breathing was even and deep, and even though I couldn't see his face, I knew he looked serene. A storm was more than likely to unleash the moment he opened his eyes again, so I chose to soak into the blissful moment, no matter how ephemeral. The world could definitely wait for a couple hours.

I wasn’t tagged but I saw this and I really wanted to try it! It’s high school Ame vs current Ame!

High school me was very depressed, the worst I’ve ever been. I had dropped a lot of weight because of unhealthy behaviors, and I just felt so physically bad. Around this time my father still had control over just about everything, so I was forced to always keep my hair up and tidy, dress “properly” and act lady-like, which caused me to hate all things “girly” altogether. I was also so lost in regards to my career of choice. My father wanted me to become a journalist like himself and my grandfather, but I was already thinking about studying art instead. That caused a huge fight! I was also very very shy back then, and my social anxiety, caused by years and years of being isolated from the world because of my father, was so bad I couldn’t even order food by myself.

Current me is so much more in touch with her femenine side, I feel a lot more comfortable in my skin now. I descovered my love for fashion and that changed everything tbh. I no longer live with my father, so I get to decide everything about my appearance. I got a fair share of piercings and tattoos, stretched my ears, dyed my hair red and started wearing whatever I want to wear. I did go for art school and even though I’ve had my regrets throughout the years, I know there’s nothing else for me out there. Even tho I’m struggling because of quarantine right now, I know this’ll end sooner or later and I’ll go back to normal. I can’t say I’m completely out of my depression but I’m doing extremely better nonetheless! And believe it or not, I’m not as shy as I used to be! It took a lot of work but I’m doing so much better. Starting college really helped me with that! I’m glad I’m still here💖
