I like to believe in the concept of soulmate but sometimes it just gets frustrating because I feel like I'm saving myself for someone who God knows if exists or not. You know even my friends don't know me, they ask me about my favourite colour and I say I don't have one, they ask me about my favourite season and I say I don't know. But I do know I love winters and my favourite colour is blue. I don't tell them because I don't want anyone to know me the way I want you to know me. I have been saving my favourite playlists just to share them with you, I watch my favourite movie alone just to watch it with you one day, I'm saving few of poems because I want you to be the first person to read them, I don't tell anyone about my favourite books because I want to tell you about them. And on days all of this seems meaningless hope saves the day, before I leave the hand of wait hope holds my hand. And I hold on to this concept.

But what if Mata Sita replies with "Mere liye toh aap hi mera swarg ho?"
We used to think that as long as a Hindu is pliable and powerless and allows others to step on them and everything they believe in we will be safe but even those unassertive and powerless Hindus get killed and raped in places like Pakistan.
Time and time again we’ve seen how Hinduism is uprooted and Hindus driven out wherever we become a minority.
Kashmir was the latest example. Maybe the last lesson for Hindus in India.
We will still stay mum even as Hindus get targeted in Bangladesh because we are “unproblematic” and “peace loving” even- even if it gets our people killed and oppressed in places like these!
“With a moon-like face, Śrī Rāma is an extreme delight to look at. By His form (रूप), qualities (गुणैः) and generosity, He steals the eyes (vision) and hearts of even men! (What about women? Oh what a futile question!).”

Just saw a tweet about ISKCON excommunicating their own kith and kin, Chinmoy Das. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but the low-key disgust I had for ISKCON is rapidly turning into high-key contempt. First of all, you are a cult that propagates an Abrahamised version of Sanatan Dharma, referring to all other deities as demi-gods, and on top of that, you don’t even adhere to the cult aspect properly—abandoning your own monk in the face of state persecution. I don’t know much about Gaudiya Vaishnavism, but the general pacifism that characterises the Vaishnav sampradaya has become both archaic and orthodox. Coming back to ISKCON—the delusion these people live in is baffling. I had a friend in college who was deep down the ISKCON rabbit hole. She once said that Shiv Bhakts are materialistic and worship Shiva to fulfil their own desires, whereas Krishna Bhakts suffer in this world and reap the rewards of their suffering in Vaikuntha. Like, really? ISKCON receives donations amounting to millions of dollars every year, and their so-called sales executives—or whatever pious marketing gimmick name they use—pressure or pester people into handing over their money. It’s better to donate to the daan peti of your local neighbourhood temple or start Hindu charitable trusts to enable wealthy Hindus to support poor Hindus economically.Let’s be honest—most ISKCON attendees, at least in major metropolitan cities, are middle- to upper-middle-class Hindus. These people are not suffering; they’re just living comfortably. And the actions of ISKCON in Bangladesh only reinforce the idea that they’re not pacifists but cowards—much like Gandhi. Do they really believe that abandoning Chinmoy Das will protect them from radicals?
People whenever they find temples under old mosques in India -
A lot of India's history has been manipulated throughout the years to suit the means of the people in power. Islamic Invaders were AWFUL. They plundered our homes and temples, they forcefully took our women's dignity to the point that even corpses weren't spared. The tradition of Jauhar came to place because of these invaders- Ghori, Khiljis and what not- who were notorious for their necrophilism.
The Mughals were no different. Textbooks paint them as these righteous messiahs after a long period of having exploitative rulers but that is far from truth. There were forced conversions right from the dawn of the Islamic empire of course, people (usually the already discriminated lower caste) did it in hopes of being less exploited and gaining employment faster. But these rulers only preferred the "pure" muslims. That is, the one from their community.
Our temples were broken and mosques and tombs were built on their ruins instead. In fact, if you go near the Qutub Minar, there are a few ruins where you could see the sculptures of hindu gods etched into the stones but their faces, and only their faces, are broken. So that we know it's one of our Gods and understand the disrespect was inflicted purposefully.
Nalanda was destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khilji. Centuries old knowledge was burnt to ashes. The library burned for months. Do you all comprehend the amount of ancient knowledge and text lost because of it?
Ram Mandir was a controversial topic for DECADES. People died because of it. Guru Rambhadracharya had to prove the existence of the janmabhoomi in the court. (I hope you guys saw his interview when Ram Mandir was finally opened. The man was at loss of words and had tears in his eyes.)
The Varanasi Gyanvapi mandir is still under debate.
The Hindu history in India is full of challenges after the invasions and it has been altered so many times that people don't even know their facts straight anymore.
I'm not saying this as some anti-islamic propaganda or something. I'm just telling how much suffering generations have dealt with. Because it's infuriating when people dismiss these things as me being non-secular or discriminatory. At the end of the day, you just can't change what is true. I'm not going to every person who belongs to that community's house, pointing a gun to their head and going "your ancestors killed my ancestors so you have to pay for it" no. I'm just saying that there used to be a certain group which has wronged my community in many ways. Why don't you accept it and help us restore the things we lost so we can live together peacefully?
