Podium Family at the Beach

Yuuri:

Rubbing on suncreen on Victor

Terribly competitive about beach volleyball for some reason

Packed a watermelon for the game

A great swimmer

Dozes off underneath the shade of the umbrella at some point

Salty sea kisses with Victor are the best

Victor:

Has Yuuri rub sunscreen all over him even though he clearly has hands

Takes a few selfies for Instagram that Yuuri is all too happy to help with

Trying to find baby crabs

Collects shells

Trying his best to help Yurio with his sand castle

Will engage in sandy tickle fights at any given moment

Yurio:

Forgot about the sunscreen

Yuuri slathers him with sunscreen as soon as he realizes

Horrible at the watermelon smashing game but loves it anyways

Trying to keep Victor away from his sand castle

Taking selfies

Also trying to help Victor find baby crabs or sea urchins

Wants to learn how to surf

Doesn’t know how to swim

Neither Phichit or Yuuri are proud of it but they’ve held each other’s phone and glasses hostage many times, usually threatening each other into resting and/or eating while holding said item over a balcony or blender.

Podium Family at a County Fair

At the game booths-

Yuuri: Good at the ring toss games, enjoys the fishing games, can win a modest prize

Victor: Actively trying to buy a prize after 10th attempt to knock down all 6 pins, good at darts 

Yurio: A beast at knocking down pins, likes the water shooting games until the booth runner says shooting other contestants is not allowed

Food-

Yuuri: Usually avoiding anything deep fried, snow cones are his favorite

Victor: Absolutely ready to throw down money to try something weird, fried pickle on a stick? Why not. Ice cream burger? Already in line.

Yurio: Currently munching on cotton candy the size of his head in one hand and holding a turkey leg in the other

Rides-

Yuuri: Enjoys most rides, loves bumper cars, ferris wheel rides with Victor is his favorite part, can’t stand the haunted house ride

Victor: Likes the water rides, fast roller coasters, draws a line at the bungee jumping, catch him on the merry-go-round with a new pose for instagram each time he comes around

Yurio: Ready to test the limit of his puny human body until he hurls 

At the end of the day-

Yuuri: Driving home with a soft smile on his face, constantly glancing in the rear view mirror 

Victor: In the back seat nodding off with Yurio, trying to talk with Yuuri but he keeps trailing off as his head dips towards his chest 

Yurio: Mildly sunburned, snoring with his head on VIctor’s shoulder, tiger plush clutched close

“I can’t believe you lost Yurio!” Yuuri cries and Victor sweats. Figuratively and literally. The hike in the forest was refreshing up until Victor lost their little blond companion in a spike of competitiveness of who could make to the creek first. Just because he was older doesn’t mean he was old.

Victor gives him a wary but bright smile. “I’m sure he’s fine.” Wow, taking a ill-advised short cut and then getting lost himself before calling his beloved husband and losing an entire person was maybe not the best idea.

Yuuri shakes his head and sighs irritably. He takes a breath and looks up at Victor more calmly but still glaring. God he’s so gorgeous when he does that, Victor thinks. “You’re right, Yurio’s probably fine. He has his phone and he probably stuck to the main path,” Yuuri finishes dryly. “Yurio is probably already there.”

They start walking and Yuuri remains quiet and frowning. Victor doesn’t reach for his hand like he would normally. “How long are you going to be mad at me for?” Victor asks softly, almost whining.

The other man is quiet for a beat before pursing his lips. “Ten minutes,” Yuuri decides and Victor wilts.

Victor agonizes for seven minutes until Yuuri breaks and takes Victor’s hand in his.

When they’re close to the creek, Yuuri breathes a loud sigh of relief when he sees a Yurio-like figure napping off in the distance in a glade, backpack under his head and hat pulled over his face. Victor is snickering though for some reason. “What?” Yuuri starts making his way to the boy.

Victor muffles his laughing behind a hand and wheezes. “Sleeping beauty,” He snorts out and points at the boy. Yuuri rolls his eyes and leaves Victor behind, he’s still confused. He squints uncertainly.

It’s not until Yuuri comes closer that he has to stop and muffle his own laughing, understanding. Several small birds hop around merrily atop a snoozing Yurio and holy shit is that a deer. It’s truly a scene out of a Disney movie Victor is beside him, snapping picture after picture wheezing and snorting. He starts recording when Yuuri slowly approaches the boy, startling away the deer and a few birds but many stay, just hopping away cautiously.

Yuuri bites back a laugh as he gently wakes the boy up.

“Uh-no,” Yurio firmly steers Victor’s cup of whatever the hell he filled it with away from the bowl. Victor frowns and looks down at his overfilled measuring cup. 

“You said to get a cup of sugar,” Victor whines. 

“Yeah, I did. A cup,” Yurio stresses with an eye roll, “That’s too much.” 

“My Yuuri’s cake needs to be as sweet as him,” Victor sniffs but goes to dump back the excess to one of the containers. As he goes back and eagerly attempts to pour it into the mixing bowl again Yurio stops him again with a tight hand around his wrist. 

“Taste it,” Yurio snaps before Victor can say anything. 

“It’s sugar-” Victor argues and Yurio holds the mixing spoon threateningly over his head, absolutely ready to bring it down in a swift KO fashion. 

Victor sticks a finger into the sugar, “Tasting,” he says hurriedly and shoves his finger in his mouth and then his face crumples as he cringes. He darts over to the sink as he rinses out his mouth and spits out the salt.

“It’s sugar,” Yurio mocks.

Yurio commissions Otabek for a punk rock remix of nyan cat out of sheer irony and challenge but when Otabek came back with it Yurio was Surprisingly Not Disappointed.
