There are few series that know how to represent a passionate scene between a man and a woman, I think Arcane succeeded with Mel and Jayce

What makes me chuckle in the klandom discourse around this sequence is how desperate people were/are to confuse the show having two parallel scenes as somehow this sequence only being about one person ie Viktor.

Like the fact that Jayce is completely absorbed and consumed in giving (a lot of giving, our boy is a GIVER) and receiving pleasure to/from Mel and vice versa, to the point where he not only goes down on her at least twice, you can literally hear climaxes happening (with good headphones), Mel is clutching sheets, they’re clasping hands and locking finger, seeing legit galaxies and don’t want to let go of each other afterwards — is irrelevant. Somehow people act like they aren’t rapidly falling into each other. Jayce and Mel, their mutual desire are irrelevant.

It requires levels of weird illiteracy, gymnastics and bias to not get it. Especially because the show really sets up the parallel to show how Jayce accepts and actively seeks out intimacy with Mel vs Viktor who outright rejects Sky and is consumed by hextech. Bizarre.

Oh well. These two are Magick, and we love to see it.

It’s so (not) funny when people irrationally blame Jenny for everything involving her season six relationship with Shane. Like…. seriously put your weird all consuming hatred for Jenny aside and just take a look at the facts.

On some drama I’m barely aware of here, just because I feel like dropping my anger here. Supercorp is more popular because the two women in it are pretty white women. Dansen is less popular because one of them is a black woman. The fact that someone could prefer Supercorp for other reasons, sure. It’s possible. I’m not really that naive though, so try again.  “Oh but look, we support Dansen too!” Yeah, like, 20 of you and you don’t actively engage with Dansen fan content either.

When people complain that SC shippers don’t support Dansen, they mean that it’s mathematically obvious what people prefer and it’s rather obvious why too. We heard all of the excuses before! “The chemistry. I just don’t feel it. It’s different than what I like for ships. It’s too much of a slowburn.” 

Racial Implicit bias means your preferences in things shifts away from black people more easily. That’s why you don’t see the chemistry, that’s why it doesn’t work for you, that’s why the slow pace bothers you.

(I remember clearly people thinking Sanvers was going to be a slow-burn and being excited for it too)

I’m not saying you shout the N word in your head every 2 seconds, I’m saying we know why you don’t like them as much and we’d like for you to make a bit of an effort, if not to like Dansen, then at least to fucking stop trying to gaslight us into believing otherwise.

You have to go beyond “racism is bad” for that BLM mention in your bio to mean anything.
