love this episode because we get more insight into Jiro and Zenji. It’s still just crumbs but they’re good crumbs.

I like how similar Jiro and Zenji are in certain ways, which makes sense since they’re brothers by blood. Zenji has a habit of doing everything he can to help the people around him, and he never really tells anyone about it, most people don’t even seem to know. I get the feeling he rarely, if ever, told anyone while he was alive. And now that he’s gone, he might even prefer it that way, people never knowing what he did for others.

Jiro is kind of the same in that sense. He helps others without saying anything beforehand, randomly disappears, then shows up again because he was off doing extra side tasks to make things easier for everyone. At the end, he reverses the curse to help the band but doesn’t really want to tell anyone about it.

I don’t think it’s just because he doesn’t want to hurt Yuri’s ego. It feels more like he genuinely believes what he did wasn’t that important or impactful so there’s no need for anyone to know. After all, he did say he wasn’t sure how much influence the curse even had since it was pretty weak.

Meanwhile, Zenji is out there running around, helping his little brother, who is also busy helping everyone else.
