We are going to get Goldy Pond in season two. This is, to me, ultimate proof:
Emma’s braid!! It doesn’t get shown in the manga after Lucas’ introduction, where the whole Goldy Pond squad is together and telling Emma about their plan to fuck up the place.
I remember seeing a panel in one of the side stories of this, Sandy braiding Emma’s hair. I couldn’t for the life of me find it, but the wiki (Sandy’s page) helped me confirm this:
I’m pretty sure we’re getting a second intro. We might not, but if we do, we have something to be hyped about. There’s way too many important characters and plot stuff tht were left out from the intro to just be as it is. As gorgeous as the whole thing is presented, I’m pretty sure we can expect Yuugo added in the next couple of episodes, and then a new entire intro animation (and maybe a new song, who knows?) for the Goldy Pond arc.
Even if we don’t, rest assured that we’re getting the sweet sweet Goldy Pond angst in this airing season. We might be left in the middle of it, or before the war with the demon bourgeoise, but we’re getting it yes or yes.

But like the theory was solid??? It was actual evidence planted there to narratively foreshadow the canonical events??? Season two just decided to be stupid and ignore all of it’s own in universe story.
It’s like they wrote “2+2” and when we all said “4” then said “actually it’s -17 lol”
