Here’s a little chart with the most important characters so far. I hope I didn’t forget anyone. I wrote down some short info on everyone below. Please note that “brother”, “son” or “parent”, unless otherwise stated, refers to the Yakuza tradition of exchanging sake cups with each in order to create pseudo family bonds.
Yashiro: second-in-command (wakagashira) of Shinseikai, Misumi’s ex-lover, Hirata’s son, Nanahara’s and Sugimoto’s older brother
Nanahara (Shinseikai): Yashiro’s right hand before Doumeki came along, Sugimotos older brother, Yashiro’s younger brother, Hirata’s son
Sugimoto (Shinseikai): Yashiro’s and Nanahara’s younger brother, Hirata’s son
Hirata: leader of Shinseikai, hates Yashiro’s ass and adores Misumi, wants to be Misumi’s son, but is only his brother, is jealous of Yashiro and used to be jealous of Kurobane in the past, parent to Yashiro, Nanahara and Sugimoto
Misumi: former leader of Shinseikai, now second-in-command of Doushinkai (the head-organisation of Shinseikai), adores Yashiro and wants him as his successor, doesn’t like Hirata, doesn’t know that Hirata killed Kurobane, parent to Yashiro and older brother to Hirata
Amou: Misumi’s right hand, the biological son of Misumi’s deceased wife, always wanted to be Misumi’s son, but Misumi tried to keep him out of the Yakuza
Ryuuzaki: leader of the Matsubara group (a side branch group of Doushinkai), has a love/hate relationship with Yashiro (as in: he loves him but hates to admit it), used to be his fuck buddy, he and Yashiro are (probably equal) brothers
Kurobane: Misumi’s mysterious “other half” who died long ago by Hirata’s hands as we just found out, used to be Misumi’s younger brother and bodyguard
Kageyama: Yashiro’s only friend from high school, enjoys Yashiro’s trust as a doctor, Yashiro’s secret first love and Kuga’s boyfriend
Kuga: Kageyama’s boyfriend, refused to become a yakuza even though Yashiro wanted him for his group, now works at a night club or bar
Team Chestnut: used to do the dirty work for Hirata when he didn’t want to get his group’s name involved, later got snatched by Yashiro who now makes good use of them
Whale & Shark: sometimes do work for Misumi, got orders from him to tail Yashiro secretly, but got found out and now receive orders from Yashiro who again makes good use of them
Doumeki: not yet a member of Yashiro’s group, just got out of prison a few months ago on parole, is in love with Yashiro and Yashiro with him, but the latter is still in denial

I’m not sure if Yashiro is still Misumi’s son after he exchanged sake cups with Hirata as parent and son. I’ll assume he is, because Misumi wants to make him his successor.
