“Hey, Yuto. On a scale from 1 to 10, how impossible do you think it’d be to keep Yuri and Yugo from killing each other if they didn’t have someone like you around?” The answer to that probably broke his small scale, but Yuya would still ask. For as long as Yuya had known Yuto though, he’d always played the peacemaker. Didn’t that ever get tiring?
...They’re lucky Yuto doesn’t like the noise, if he’s being honest. Being a loud, obnoxious child and a murderer, if not for the racket they make, he’d probably leave them to what they deserve. Even Yuto has a limit.
Though as soon as the train of thought has run through his mind, he can’t help but feel guilty for writing Yugo off in his mind. Even if he was obnoxious and tried to run Yuto over way too many times for comfort, he did genuinely try to help them in the war when it was of no benefit to himself. (Yuri is another story.)
“...I dunno,” Yuto replies, breaking the long pause, “I don’t understand either of them. We’ve spent our whole lives fighting, all I want is it to be over with.” Still, the wounds of the past are just as impossible to forget now as they were before, both physical and mental. Yuto runs a hand through his hair, which lets Yuya get a pretty good look at all the scars overlapping on his forearms. Several different smaller scars seem to be animal teeth- most likely the teeth of Ancient Gear monsters.
