WELL WELL WELL would you look at that. another wip quietly rotting in my documents folder that may never see the light of day. 30k words in, with an unreasonable amount left to write.

the premise?

Sylus is Death (the grim reaper).

catastrophically burnt out. he’s been doing the same job since the beginning of time and somewhere along the way stopped understanding why humans fight so desperately for something so temporary.

then he meets Zayne.

a doctor who spends every waking hour trying to save the people Death has come for.

they should hate each other.

instead, Zayne teaches him how absurdly beautiful humans are. how an ordinary cup of coffee, a quiet conversation, a hand held for five seconds longer than necessary can outweigh centuries of existence.

it’s a story about learning to fall in love with life, told by the one destined to take it away.
