Oh Capitalism...
Reflecting on this week's topics, the section I find the most interesting is the Social Media and Society section. Particularly the 'We're building a dystopia just for people to click on ads'. I found this very interesting because in the age of social media, capitalism is set ten fold ramping up the endless rat race but that is now occupying our head space all day everyday. Sure, since the dawn of man we were selling and it has never stopped the only difference is that we can be sitting at home and watching our entire two week paycheck vanish before our eyes. Even seeing some of the things we ordered available to us in the next few hours right at our door. Click bait is very real and it will never stop. We are the fisherman and the fish.
