Seeing that fuckass epilogue of Will in a gay bar and remembering how when Noah was asked where he saw Will in the future, he said that he'd be focusing on his painting (his passion, as he said) and have someone to share coffee with. THAT should have been his epilogue, it's insane that the Duffers seem to have no understanding of their characters compared to the actors.
he's been listening to "good luck, babe" for three hours now
REALLY proud of this animation, this idea has been stuck in my head since the vol 2
AND the point of this gif is that you can make him listen to any song you want (internalised homophobia playlist)
yupppppp i audibly laughed
As if El didn't spend the entire run of the show wearing outfits that shows she's taking on the styles of whomever she's living with. She literally wore a shirt that was meant to look like one of Will's in season 4.
Max was the only one to ever encourage her to find her own identity and path in life.
so... that's it? mike wheeler is just... a dork? a nerd? really? the whole show is about weirdoes, outcasts, and misfits, and mike fits into that category because... he likes superheros? and plays dnd?
dustin has a rare genetic condition that he's bullied and targeted for. lucas is a black boy in a primarily white town and is targeted by billy's racist ass for a full season. will is already called a "fag", "fairy", and a "queer" just in season one, then comes home to be bullied even more for surviving. jane was locked up, manipulated, and controlled her entire life, then when she does get a taste of normalcy (s4) she's bullied there too. max comes from an unloving household with an abusive brother who tries to control who she can/can't hang out with.
and mike is a white boy, with two married parents, from a nice home, with the golden girl for a sister. if mike chose different friends, he'd be completely fine. he'd never be popular per se, but he'd be fine. he'd most likely be one of those kids that just gets through school quietly, making good grades, having one or two close friends, gets invited to parties through other people. just like s1 nancy.
this is just one of the many issues i have with how mike's storyline ended. they gave him nothing. absolutely nothing. he's just a nerdy boy who fell in love with a superhero.
this is just one of the reasons i'm on the byler train too. giving mike internalized homophobia, or even just a slowly-realized bisexual/gay awakening would have actually added something to his character. it would give him a real reason to be an outcast.
he deserved so much better from the writers. he deserved a real plot and real character development. he deserved a proper send-off. he deserved a happy ending. a real happy ending. not an imagined one.
I will always love them no matter how much they try to assassinate mike
Max, who had previously been suicidal, choosing to keep living over and over again even in the most dire of circumstances is such a wonderful storyline. Like she could've chosen door number 1 at any time but she didn't. She chose to keep fighting. God, she is so special to me...
couldn't decide lol
Holy shit i want this hung up in my room this is so good
I started watching Outer Banks, I'm like halfway through season three and I can't stand Big John. He's mad irritating. I have no idea if that's a popular opinion or not, but every time he's on screen I just have to sigh.
i'm just so proud of everyone this season. they're all locked in and doing what they can to try and protect others from the horrors they've been dealing with for years. i just adore them all.
the concept of queer love saving the world on the biggest show release of the year in a time where weโre slowly going backwards im sick
"i asked chatgpt" well i went to Rockin' Robin and she said that you have all the answers and you just need to stop being so scared of who you are

I don't want anyone to die but PLEASE DON'T TOUCH WILL OR STEVE!!!! PLEASE!!!! PLEASE!!!!!
I just really love some of the subtlety in Astarion's approval mechanics.
Initially in act 1 he will just absolutely whine and bitch every time you try to do something even vaguely altruistic. Under the hood, they're only small dings to your approval--1 here, 5 there; he's constantly annoyed with your average do-gooder player, and it comes off like he's just a purely selfish asshole. Which he is. But there's more to it.
Pay attention to his banter throughout the game and he'll mention how he called on every God, how he wanted someone to rescue him, and no one ever did. How he used to be attracted to heroic princely types like Wyll. It's the bitterness of someone who had his worldview shattered. He's basically in the back of the group rolling his eyes every time you do something cartoonishly heroic, because he doesn't think heroism exists.
But by act 3, there's a shift. You start getting "Astarion approves" for things like rescuing slaves or being kind to children. Slowly but surely, as it becomes apparent that your intentions are sincere, your hero bullshit starts rubbing off on him. And it's rewarding as hell.
astarion would consider you lesser for using chatgpt btw. don't even get me started on how gale would feel about it.
