“Over the last few weeks, things have been changing here. Sabre says it is our duty to support the sales team and the salesmen are letting it go to their heads. I think it’s kind of screwed up, because the way this place used to work was: make friends first, make sales second, make love third, in no particular order.”

We Both Reached For The Gun
You cannot live to please everyone else. You have to edify, educate and fulfill your own dreams and destiny.
I feel like in any other sitcom, Det. Dave Majors would have been an antagonistic douchebag to show that he’s wrong for the girl and the “nice guy” protagonist is entitled to her. In Brooklyn Nine-Nine, two guys vying for the same person’s affections are shown to be respectful of both the person and each other. To top it off the episode ends with Amy rejecting them both, which they immediately and politely accept. I love this. I love this show.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine provides the kind of media content that we need more of.
“Pretty quickly, Kate and I were like, Oh, you’re for me and I’m for you. We’re for each other. Very quickly we were both comfortable being our best and worst selves in front of each other. SNL’s so intense and the hours are so long that you get to know people really well. But I would say even beyond that, we just know each other like sisters. Really.” - Aidy Bryant

“I want to go to Laura’s funeral. I want to say goodbye.”
The beauty of being an adult is that you can make a new family with new traditions.
