The Dalles, Oregon. 

We recently spent a weekend in the Dalles to visit a friend who had moved out there for work. This is the view from a friends living room window looking out across the Columbia River Gorge. Even though it had just rained and it is the winter season, the hills on the Washington side had a dry brown color which was very reminiscent of summer.
