Imagine M. Shadows flirting with you during an interview...
You asked another question from your paper, a long list your producers had collected from some fans of your main guest. Luckily, nothing had been too uncomfortable to ask, at least not yet.
βYeah, I mean, weβre pretty ritualistic when it come to prepping for a show. Youβd think we wouldnβt be nervous after all these years, but Iβll be the one to admit that Iβm nervous every single time. So, I make sure to stick to my pre-show routine.β M. Shadows, the insanely attractive lead singer of one of your favorite bands, laughed beside you.
Luckily, you felt a little more at ease this time. You had known the man for several months. After your first interview, shortly following the release of their latest album, he had asked for your number. It wasnβt totally abnormal for guests to want to keep in contact with you. He was on the road a lot, so you just talked on and off. If anything, he seemed like a really cool guy.
Not to mention he was a super dork, just like you.
You laughed at yet another one of his jokes, then peered back down to your list.
βOkay Matt, next question. If you could date any celebrity, one you know personally or not, who would it be?β You felt your cheeks heat up the moment the question came out. Unfortunately, this was live TV. But, you hoped the cameras were pointed at him and not you.
Matt laughed. βWell, Y/N, do you count as a celebrity?β Okay, now you were sure your face was as red as the Christmas bow behind your chair.
βI mean, lots of people know you and watch you on TV. That sounds like a celebrity to me.β M winked, making you laugh.
βI guess I fit the definition then,β you answered with a nervous shrug. Matt stared at you for a moment, then flicked his tongue between his lips.
βSo?β he coaxed. Your eyes widened. You shifted nervously in your chair. You had been on live TV for three years, and this was one of the first times you had been rendered this nervous or speechless.
βMatt Sanders, are you asking me out on live TV?β Matt grinned.
βYep. Yes I am.β And now you were the one in the spotlight. But, at least you knew your answer, and didnβt need to embarrass him in front of hundreds of thousands of live viewers.
βOkay, Matt. Iβll give you a shot,β you teased with your typical television humor. He laughed, clapping his hands. βBut, weβll discuss this later. I have two more questions for you before I can set you free.β He grinned and nodded as the small crowd on the other side of the large window behind you cheered.
βDeal,β he agreed with wink. Great, now you just had to keep it together for eight more minutes...
