zada tends to keep to herself and tends to be more on the shy side when it comes to new people, but when she is comfortable she’s one random person. she’s very expressive— if her words don’t tell you how she feels about a certain topic or how feels in the moment in general, then her face definitely will. she isn't the most confrontational person but she will get whatever she needs off her chest.
Backstory
on the outside looking in, zada grew up pretty normal. a well-kept small house that had grass green all year round for her always drunk mother, abusive father, and lastly herself. on the outside looking in, nobody could have known what was really going on with her family. when was younger, she always put the blame on others for why her suffering went on too long but she must have forgotten that the members of the raines family have been hiding secrets for a very long time and are very good at it.
junior year of high school she realized that the only way she could escape the daily slaps across the face and the inappropriate touches at the hands of her father was going away to university. her academics were always spectacular even though her home was always chaotic, so when she got a full ride to her top choice and a RA job— she knew she had to take it.
college was her way to escape the pain she dealt with behind those four walls. when she tasted the first genuine smile on her lips or the experience of laughing so hard that it caused stomach pains, she knew that she had to keep the little glimmer of hope and happiness forever and no matter the cost.
she knew that she never wanted to step foot in that house she used to call home ever again, so she got a second job so that she could save up. once she graduated, she packed up everything she could in the little beat-up car that she had and just drove. she didn’t have a destination but once she reached nashville she stopped for a breather. catching wind of a small hidden town called hidehill that was nearby, she decided that this was the place she would call home— have a fresh start in a place where she could be free to be herself and no one in her past could find her.
