March 2026 was the first month that renewables generated more power than natural gas in the US. In fact, fossil fuels generated less energy this past March than they had in any March for the previous 25 years.
As clean energy continues to grow (over 90% of energy capacity added to the US grid this year will be renewables) we will see more and more months like this.
I know this is meant to be funny but it actually makes such a good point about how ADHD and executive dysfunction can impact people in really major ways, including financially
I noticed ya read romance manga. What are ya currently reading?
🪽 omg omg !! i’m reading “Weeping Wounds, Bleeding Hearts”, it’s a fantasy romance manga about a princess and the knight who’s sworn to protect her and it began publishing a few years ago but it’s gotten slowly more popular over the years and i really love the main character and
[the dragonite continues to ramble about the plot for about 10 more minutes.]

• Know you should go and apologize for running away, but you find yourself heading for the dorm instead. Too exhausted to deal with your assigned mech right now. Trying to stretch out a kink in your back, you want a hot shower. Food. Your bed. Actually, just the bed. Everything else can wait. Letting yourself into the lobby, a couple of caretakers playing a game look up and one grins. “Hey, you’re alive,” they say laughing as you walk past, not bothering to respond. Know the big bot is lonely, that you never seen the other Cybertronians talking to him. In fact, you’ve seen them actively avoid him.
• Keeps thinking about you staying the night. Seeking him out for safety, maybe. Always trying to take care of him. To stay close. What if you don’t have anyone? If you’d chosen him as your protector because someone’s bothering you. One of the Decepticons probably. Rumbling as he gets to his peds, he stalks through the base and Cybertronians and humans alike scatter to get out of his way. Wings adjusting against his back, he knows they’re all staring. They always do. Had gotten numb to it a long time ago, the whispering and teasing. They only bother with him when they need him, otherwise they ignore him. Complain that he’s too big, that he’s in the way. Part of him wants to resent them for that, but isn’t it better to be needed and disliked than to be forgotten completely? And you need him. Listen to his stories.
• Letting yourself into your apartment, you fall face down on the bed with a groan. Halfheartedly trying to toe off your boots without unlacing them or sitting up. And you twitch at a sharp crack from the balcony. Head tiredly lifting, all you see is a lot of big, pointy denta. Before his serpentine head lowers and those weird, possibly optics brighten to stare in at you. “No,” you groan, fumbling for a pillow and dragging it over your head. And he taps again, the sound loud enough to make you worried he’ll break the glass slider. Maybe he’s hungry. Maybe he wants to nap in the sun with you as his teddy bear again.
• Watching you slowly sit up and walk over to open the sliding glass door, you tiredly smile. “Hungry, sir?” You ask and he clears his vents to make you stumble back a step. ‘I never sired any sparklings,’ he manages, unsure how to even begin this conversation as you just blink at him. ‘Too busy. The war, you understand.’ Though that’s not it. Too old now, but when he’d been younger, it had quickly became apparent that mechs like him weren’t normal. That he was alone and unique in a way that would guarantee he’d never really belong or be wanted as a conjunx. People were friendly when they needed something, but after? The conversations would get stilted and uncomfortable. Started talking more to try and fill those awkward gaps. Telling his war stories even though he knows no one cares. But you had.
• “What I’m trying to say is, Is always wanted a sparkling, but never had the time. And no one’s going to bother you. Not while I’m around,” he says as you just want to lay down. Sleep. ‘That’s cool,’ you mumble. “I’m going to let your people know I’m adopting you as my sparkling,” he adds, wings flexing and your tired mind blanks. Struggling to piece together what he’s saying. “Anyone messes with you, you just tell me and I’ll deal with them, just like I dealt with those Cons in Praxus back during the revolt. I’ll see about getting you some human stuff in my habsuite. You’re so tiny, you won’t need much.” What? And he’s turning away, wings flaring open to launch himself into the air as you try to decide if you want to deal with whatever that was. Adopting you? You’re an adult. He understands that, right?
