btw you will miss this in 5 or 10 years. memory will smooth these circumstances down like a river stone, and you will find yourself longing for a shade of light or a moment of this particular innocence. you don't know about what happens next, and one day that will be the most alluring thing of all. don't leave it all for nostalgia. have a nice night now, whatever night it happens to be.
this trend of shitting on peer-reviewed academic studies in favor of tweeting βwe already knew this was happeningβ is so soul-crushing. not to be an elitist cunt, but we have got to open the schools again. people genuinely seem to have forgotten that their personal lived experience isnβt indicative of the larger population, AND IF IT ISβ¦β¦ then you need researchers to support these assertions from a relevant data pool instead of a blog post from 2013 π
lost media is awesome. the way lost media is found ranges from "it was found while looking at commercials on youtube" to "we found the fucking workprint for hoodwinked featuring the original lost audio in a thrift store for seventy five cents"
language resources on the internet i love you. i cannot believe i can just start learning a language like that. i can lookup any word in seconds. i can find grammar explanations. there are teachers who put out whole videos for me to learn. amazing. i am so lucky.
I have been inactive for a little bit, because life has been very different and things changed quite suddenly.
The short version of this is that my trans partner and I (also trans lol) are attempting to relocate away from an aggressive red US state to a slightly safer environment. We've been publicly harassed multiple times, and the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous.
Shortly before we were able to enact this transition, I became physically disabled and have now been out of work for some time. We have a way forward, but with much more limited means than anticipated when this plan came to fruition.
A share or donation would be hugely meaningful as we attempt to move forward.
Thanks to everyone for your help. Much love, and best wishes to all of you as we navigate pride month in the midst of what can easily be described as a scary time.
I am honestly in shock saying this, but we are about a quarter of the way to our goal for moving + temporary life costs. Our moving timeline got pushed up dramatically, so every penny or share helps us right now. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for every bit of attention this has gotten.
My hope for whoever is reading this is that your life starts making sense and coming together. I hope the good days are right around the corner for you.
