Projected or self-insert thoughts, perhaps too much of a self-insert?
that crossed my mind because I have insomnia and it's impossible for me to sleep:
1-We only know that Pomni is an accountant and a YouTuber, but for some reason, Goose found it absolutely necessary for us to know that Jax has trypophobia. It didn't contribute anything to the character, other than maybe she has trypophobia herself and wanted to put a piece of her own identity into him, telling the audience something interesting about herself(?).
Any writer, even a fanfic writer, knows that every line of dialogue is highly intentional, especially during moments of tension.
In episode 6, the fight between Jax and Pomni feels strange. At the exact moment Pomni confronts Jax about him actually feeling something, he replies, 'Are you coming on to me?
Why bring romance and feelings into that? The same goes for the embrace, and the moment he starts feeling things, he pushes both of them away while they keeps seeking them out.
It’s as if Goose wanted to create a parallel between Ribbit and Pomni.
And that 'friendship' is just her way of projecting casual relationships from her real life into the series two people she obviously hasn't gotten over yet.
