“It’s at home. You can bring her if you want, I just can’t watch her from the field and I don’t really see the need to pay a baby sitter.”

I’m really afraid that I won’t fit into my wedding dress after all of the crap I’ve been eating lately.

“You could always start running with me. I run six miles every day.”

“Yeah it’s completely different now. We’d both be dead in heartbeat.”

Zaidin rolled his eyes. “We’ll be fine.” He paused and looked around. “Where’s Zara? It’s waaaay too quiet in here.”

“Tell her to go fuck herself or something I don’t know... We could go do something wild and crazy like get each other’s star signs tattooed on our ass cheeks or something.”

“It’s not my fault we’ve both done everything under the sun! We’re bad influences on each other.... though I’m completely okay with that.”

“Then y’all tell’em we sleep in the same bed. Pretty sure family we go out the window real fast.” he said with a sigh. “Ya know how strict he is with this kind of stuff.” Jed shook his head with a chuckle. “Yeah? My mother and yours will have every last detail plan and all we’ll just have show up.”

Zaidin laughed. “We shared a bed at your place before... granted that was before we were dating and you came out but still! It’s happened. We’ll just say I get night terrors or something.” He laughed. “Yep perfect wedding.”

“So apparently i’m supposed to be at least engaged by now according to my mother.”

“Hey... it could be worse... You could... no you have that... you could be... nope you’ve done that too... you could... You’re alive? That’s a bonus right?”

“No. Ya’ll just know how he is and how I was raised. He’s just strict, but he’ll kill ya if he finds out we sleep in the same bed.”

“Your father loves me and already thinks I’m part of the family. And I talked to your mother today. Apparently the colours for our wedding are Navy blue and lilac.”

“I called my father and told him I kissed my boyfriend….Safe to say is ain’t to please with me at the moment….”

“Why? Oh God am I not going to be able to go to christmas this year?!”

“Yeah, she’s two. And I wouldn’t call him an ass so much.” she shrugged. Things definitely weren’t as bad as they could be, but they could still be a lot better. “I mean, it’s not like he’s a bad father. He’s great when he’s actually around. Problem is he’s just not around that much.”

“That’s rubbish. I’m sorry love. If you ever need anyone to help babysit or if you want a playdate I’m sure my boyfriend and I would be completely okay with it. Zara’s just a few years older than her.”

“Trust me, I care. There’s certain things you can’t do when you become a mom and she sounds like a prime example of what not to do. And honestly, I wish all guys could be as dedicated to their kids as you are. It’d definitely make my life a whole lot easier.”

“You have a kid?” He asked. “And the dad is an ass? Fuck him you deserve better.”

“You’re her dad, you’ve got as much right to see her as she does… did. Even more so in your situation.”

“I mean I went and saw her every other weekend. In the off season I go every weekend.... went every weekend. I just... I never thought I could get anymore? She was psychotic. She threatened so much stuff if I didn’t stay with her and when I left for my football career. I just couldn’t and I left and yeah... Sorry you probably don’t give a da-rn. Darn.”
