a.k.a. La Pedrera, it was designed by Antoni Gaudí in the Catalan Modernist (Modernisme) style and built between 1906 and 1912, the last private residence he created. It was listed as artistic heritage (patrimonio artístico) of Barcelona in 1962, declared a national monument (Monumento histórico-artístico de interés nacional) in 1969, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
