While checking out the recent upscales and uploads of ReBoot episodes, there were multiple times that had me thinking "wait, I don't remember it sounding like this". The two episodes that stood out to me were Quick And The Fed and The Crimson Binome, and luckily the episodes I had burned onto DVD-Rs years ago were of YTV broadcasts. I assume the newer variations come from (some of?) the DVD releases, given all stories I've heard about their audio problems. I like the original versions better.

These are just some examples of music differences, and is by no means thoroughly researched or comprehensive. I noticed another difference while clipping The Crimson Binome that I didn't include, and I wouldn't be surprised if more instances exist.

I never really had any doubts, but the new master tape rip of Quick And The Fed is out and it's the version with the trumpet-y music during skeleton fight and the musicless stair climb.

But why make those changes in the first place? I can maybe see someone viewing those musicless scenes and (wrongly) thinking they needed to add in music, but why change the music of the scenes that already had it?

That takes me back, I haven't thought about that for over a decade.

I posted a quick comment about a handful of Busty Girl Problems comics that people (including the comic author) decided to wildly misinterpret. Then I responded with a longer, detailed post explaining how they were wildly misinterpreting what I said, which, of course, some people wildly misinterpreted. None of it was sexist or a crash out. It was all quite fun, really.

You could have just searched my tumblr for it, everything's tagged. (Tumblr protip: put /chrono after a tag url to see everything in order!)

Years and years ago I found an Aveo Swerve (which has a strange distribution backstory) at a thrift store, but it was missing an arm so I didn't get it.

Some time after that, I found a second Swerve at the same thrift store. It had both arms, but the arm that was missing on the first one had a piece missing on second one. Skipped.

In the past week I found a third Swerve at that thrift store, with all its parts, thrown into a bag of 2025 McDonald's toys being sold for $3.99.
