I first discovered you when I was about 6 or 7 years old around 2008 and I was lucky enough that my parents surprised me with tickets to your Red Tour in Auckland NZ at Vector Arena and I had the time of my life I loved it so much and I stuck with you since then. I have been blasting out your music wherever I go, wherever I am and at whatever age. Since that day of discovering you, you have been my role model for all these years and you will always continue to be and I will always support you no matter what happens in my life and yours! I am an enthusiastic fan who just wants to be a part of everything that happens and to do with you!! then in 2018 I was lucky enough again for my parents to suprise me with tickets to your Reputation Stadium Tour in Auckland NZ at Mount Smart and I have been forever grateful since!

I am now 15 years old and almost two months ago i was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Rhabdomyo Sarcoma which is a soft tissue tumor in my foot! I am now about two months into a 18 month journey and at the moment it is hard and I cry a lot because it was a big change to go from seeing your friends everyday to barely seeing them and going to school everyday and then having to stop and going between Waikato Hospital and Starship Hospital basically every week but you and your music had been helping me through this and it will continue to help. At the moment my parents are being absolutely amazing and have already brought me the white Taylor Swift hat off of your store and my mum just brought me the second deluxe album which honestly makes me so happy that they're doing this for me!

I have a long road ahead of me and it will be a hard journey but I believe that I will hopefully get through this and when I come out on the other side I am going to be stronger than ever and I will continue to love you and your work and your quotes and songs and everything about you keeps me going and reminds me to fight because this won't last forever! And my parents have said that when I finish, I am allowed to go to the Lover concert if you come to New Zealand which I pray that you do because it would truly be amazing! so yeah I just wanted to share my story and tell you how much I love you and your work and that you are such an inspiration and i will always continue to stuck by your side forever!!!

things ive noticed abt being an international fan for TWO WEEKS

1. concerts just like dont happen

2. when concerts do happen theyre basically impossible to attend

3. the diaries are about $30 while they were $17 in the states

4. international fucking shipping can be 2-4x more than the order itself

5. it takes forever to get merch. even if u do have the money to order it it takes weeks, sometimes months

6. you cant access a lot of spotify content thats limited to us fans like the vertical videos

7. you almost always miss quick, flash sales. almost no european got a signed booklet because they were asleep when it happened

8. because taylor almost never comes here its almost impossible to meet taylor. theres no pre and post m&gs because theres no concerts

9. its harder for taylor to notice you. shes most active when its the middle of the night in europe. if she comes on between 8-12pm est its 2-6am in europe so im asleep

10. similarly, when she releases content, like she did the album at midnight, european swifties either have to miss releases because they work or they have to wake up at an ungodly hour to listen

again, ive only been here for a couple weeks. and when talking to my international fans theyre mad but they kinda just say “oh yeah welcome to our life” and i just i dont think they sit down and list everything they dont have and publicize it enough. you all deserve to get mad and talk abt it. i know it comes with backlash but it matters and taylor needs to know. and i also dont think americans know about this and we definitely dont talk abt it enough
