As Salam alaikum everyone and good afternoon ✨✨
There is no break for the people of Afghanistan-war, poverty, and now natural disasters. An earthquake measuring 6.1 in magnitude killed 1000 people and injured hundreds more in Paktika, Nangarhar, and Khost provinces.
The number of deaths is expected to be higher than the initial reports as hundreds of houses are destroyed, and people search for the bodies. Children are among the dead.
@aseelapp Emergency Response team are already in the affected areas documenting and identifying the beneficiaries and has started to provide the first round of humanitarian packages to people in urgent need of help. We need your support to increase and speed up this process, as thousands are left homeless and without food and hygiene @mahab_azizi_photography is based in Kabul, Afghanistan and hoped to raise as much as possible and travel to the provinces alongside ASEEL to distribute immediate relief!
