Do you have the pattern to that braided cable knit hat, and would be willing to share it? I've been looking for a pattern like that and yours looks freakin awesome
Hi sure absolutely and thank you so much. The pattern is free it's called braided hat pattern and it's from knittinghelp.com however I tweaked the original pattern. If you take a look at my ravelry projects zarzargoodwin and my amends are on there. Happy knitting
Braided hat pattern made with Sublime Baby Merino knitted on circular needles. Pattern tweaked with a rib cuff knit on 5mm needles then switched to 7mm needles for the braiding.
Loved this pattern it was free and easy and knit up really quickly.
I knit the ribbing to 2.5 inches and did the pattern repeat 4 times before starting the decrease.
Driving home for Xmas...
Operation socks drawer! My wip is the seaweed sock pattern by Rebecca Hatcher following the free pattern on ravelry! This is my first pair of toe up socks, undecided whether I prefer this method of top down. I'll report back when I've finished them!
Hey I love your socks!! Could you PLEASE tell me what sock yarn you used, the brand and colorway? I have half finished socks in the same color and have lost the ball band.
Hi there I am so sorry for the delay I don’t seem to be getting notifications for messages. Let me hunt out the details and I will come back to you ASAP. Thank you so much for your comments

It’s taken me 3 weeks but I have finally found my local knitting groups in Perth. Yesterday was a great day of hunting down yarn stores (there aren’t too many over here unfortunately) and integrating into the local knitting community.
Last night I hung out with a group of knitters and crocheters in Kwinana, WA, where we all showed off our projects - there were some beautiful crochet blankets being made as well as cute Xmas gifts being knit.
It was great to see so many people of varying ages at the group. I’ll definitely be a regular!
The yarn store was called Crossways based in Subiaco - a charming little store with a huge range of yarns, fabrics, needles and craft books. I felt like I was walking into Aladdins cave ahhhh it was amazing. AND they stock the whole range of Zara filatura di crosa! After lots of stroking and coo’ing I put the expensive stuff down with a promise to myself I’d be back once I have found a job and bought myself some sock yarn that was on special and some basic 8ply Patons yarn to knit a couple of beanies for the homeless over here in time for winter.
It’s great to be knitting again!
The Debbie Bliss Teddy Bear - knit with Alpaca wool from Frog Tree yarns using my birch dpns. Isn't he adorable?!
It's cupcake time! Mya Bella cupcakes in Colorado Springs old town is so quaint and the cupcakes are delicious.
Thank you Yarn Durango for feeding my yarn addiction with your beautiful selection of yarns following my 2 week drought whilst driving from Vegas to Colorado
