“This picture shows artist Nola Hatterman at the Stedelijk, busy hitting a nail into the wall. It was taken during the installation of the exhibition of De Onafhankelijken in 1931. Behind her we see fellow artist Anneke van der Feer holding a painting.” (@Stedelijk)

To be Two opens this weekend in Chicago at the Links Hall. We will explore intimacy in the digital age, mirroring one another's self constructions, and practice being together. This is a movement experiment, and is participatory! 10$ advance tix, 15$ at the door, but NO ONE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS. To learn more check the link in my bio! Thank you @meglouisemoves @linkshall and for the photos from @counterpulse Hope to see you there!!

hi everyone im still pissed we never learnt in school that shakespeare was bi and wrote the sonnets about a dude and a woc he was into
hi everyone im still pissed that we were told emily dickinson was a spinster when she spent her whole life writing love letters to a woman
hi everyone im still pissed about the fact that we never got taught any of the super super gay Greek myths. it seems impossible to think they managed to pick all the hetero myths when Greece was just THAT gay but guess what? they did.
hi everyone virginia woolf was also bi im still pissed that so much of literature is queer and has queer coding within it that deserves to be analysed through that lens in the same way that we don’t ignore the gender of an author, but sexuality is never mentioned in highschool literature classes
hi everyone i’m still pissed that we were never taught that da vinci was gay af and that the ideal the western world has of jesus (white, long straight brown hair) was based on one of his male lovers
hi everyone i’m still pissed that we were told sir isaac newton died a virgin when he had multiple boyfriends over the course of his life one of whom he wrote passionate love letters too and lived with

Just here to spread the love again from San Francisco. Another BIG thank you to my supporters, friends, and audience. Love you all so much! Cant wait for next time... 😎🤙✌ (at Specs Bar)
Ok so I have a weird request. I have been searching everywhere and can’t seem to find inspiration for my new apartment. I am looking for a monochrome look, black and white grid patterns with splashes of bold primary colors. I can’t find anything and it’s so frustrating! I’ve even tried 80’s Architectural Digest magazines and I’ve drawn a blank. Also if you know where I could find some wonder grid patterned duvet covers or anything really I would be so blessed. I love you!
Sounds like you’re looking for Memphis-does-Mondrian-but-also-minimalist….I can do that. 1984 Ikea seems to be your prime time, look for those catalogs. The photos and inspo I’m posting below are just for general aesthetic vibes - for the actual look, I would stick to black and white textiles, minimal texture, and keep the colors to the accent pieces like chair, bookshelf, and wall clock.
These are the cheapest grid duvet cover + pillowcase sets I could find - big grid and small grid.
A bright accent chair is good for this look. I like this weird red swirly chair, this yellow comfy chair, or this yellow wire grid tall chair!
For shelving, a recommend keeping it relatively monochromatic and getting something like these lacquered cube shelves!
These clocks are cool but may be too abstract/not monochrome enough!
