Hey there!

SO I’m the Kris cosplayer in the photo, and Susie is my roommate Zaylo. The armor and sword (though you can’t see it well here) were designed and made by me, and Zaylo designed and built the axe herself! [ @zaylo-creations ]

It’s not actually finished yet, because she intends to upgrade the handle further before our next convention, but you’re SO RIGHT, it’s sick as hell and I LOVE her design for it! We spent some time planning and sketching out our props together a few weeks before the convention we wore this to…she just has a natural talent for this kind of thing.

(We did literally paint them AT con too, the night before we were going to use them for photos lol, so the fact that both our props need a tiny bit of polish anyway doesn’t surprise me LMAO)

When she DOES upgrade the handle (which she hopefully will be before Halloween, since that’s our next rough convention deadline), I’ll see if I can post updated photos of how it turns out! She deserves the praise, it’s such an awesome prop!

To elaborate why this is worse: Art and religion are all well and good. But information can be critical. When libraries burn, information can be lost forever. Because we photograph art. We have blueprints of the Cathedral. The Notre Dame cathedral did not burn to the ground, only the wooden structures did. The entire library and everything within is gone here. Another reason this is worse? It was DELIBERATE. It was bombed. Accidents like Notre Dame happen all the time. But bombings don’t have to happen. So yeah, if you cared about Notre Dame, logically you should care about this too,
