Honestly, Poliblank seems like a very mentally ill person to me (not surprising, considering what he does in the game, haha), with such a warped moral compass that you never know what he'll do. I have several headcanons about partial memory loss due to the pills he takes before each mission. I also interpret the temple scenes as fragments from his old memories. He clearly doesn't remember more than half of his life and doesn't know what this temple means to him. Every time he mentally escapes reality, this heavenly place always pops into his head.

Basically, I have a fanfic where I'll develop his character and personality as I see it... I've written a little over 9 pages in Word, but I'm not finished writing it yet. I also have other ideas with him that I can write! I hope I'll do this someday.

I think, under the canonical circumstances of the game, the Editor and Polyblank will never be able to be together in the traditional sense. Sure, there will be casual encounters spying on each other (they're quite the flirt), but a formal relationship, engagement or not, is unlikely. Sooner or later, some circumstances will separate them. BUT, I've been thinking for a while about an AU where Polyblank switches to the Editor's side or works for him from the start... that seems like a better chance to me :)
