god never designed a better torture than a sick body with an ambitious mind
anyone else ever wish they could lie down harder? Like, I'm already horizontal, but I need more horizontal. I need to be absorbed by the floor. I think that would fix me
"but you don't look sick"
me, feeling like i'm in the process of dying: okie
Something I think people who don’t live with chronic illness don’t understand is that there is a big difference between resting to get better and resting to avoid getting worse.
When your chronically ill body does something weird, so you just assume it’s another symptom of your illness because most things are
It’s Ehlers-Danlos awareness month and I am very aware right now
Sometimes I have to remind myself that's it's ok to have days in bed
It's okay to not want to speak because it takes too much energy or hurts too much
It's okay to be upset that you're missing out of things because you're unwell
It's okay to need help
It's okay to accept help
It's okay to let yourself be in pain or exhausted and to stop pushing through things and just rest
tired of being in pain. tired of being nauseous from the pain. tired of flaring when I have stuff to do. tired of having a rare disease that doctors don't know how to treat. tired.
"you always have something wrong with you"
well yea, no shit. its like im chronically ill or something
a little reminder
Just how it is I guess.
