By request, I’ve finished and uploaded Cooper’s Bar & Bowling Alley (also known as my “seedy bar”). Activities include bowling, foosball, an arcade game, bubble blower, and the usual bar stuff. There’s also a bedroom for when your Sims get tired or just want some privacy, and a back room for the owner’s files and inventory. (Not that you can own a bar - at least not without mods - but you could pretend. :)

Cat’s Corner

Built where Catarina Lynx’s house was in Brindleton Bay, Cat’s Corner is the place for coffee, croissants, book-shopping, surfing the internet, grabbing an ice cream cone, and conversing with the locals.

I used the Cafe venue designation because I like the variety of activities patrons usually engage in - ordering coffee and pastries, reading books, using the computers, chatting, etc. However in my playtesting, it seems they mostly just wanted to congregate around the espresso machine. XD I did see Sims use the computers, but it was rare. However, if you want Sims to venture elsewhere onto the lot for RP or story purposes, you could try deleting the espresso machine for awhile. (Although you might want to place it again before you leave, otherwise the game will consider the venue “incomplete” and you may not get any visitors at all next time.)

Writer’s Cottage

My first house for Brindleton Bay! I’ve spent the last 20 hours building and decorating and playtesting this house (with a little sleep thrown in, too). It was built for two Sims by Cinderellimouse - Tom Dale and his dog Max. He’s a former big city cop who moved out to the seaside to start a career as a crime novelist. Luckily he found this quaint little cottage by the beach to rent. Maybe it’ll come in handy for your Sims, too.

I guess everyone’s doing these now, so I had to jump in too!

So, this mod will override your loading screen. Nothing else changes, just the loading screen. There are multiple options, 12 are taken directly from in-game pictures of the sky, and 4 are simple two-color gradients. There’s also a white gradient with blue text.

Choose only one option! And make sure you don’t have any other loading screen mods, cause those will conflict with mine.

There’ve been quite a few create-a-sim challenges floating around tumblr lately, but I wasn’t really connecting with any of the prompts, so I decided to make my own! 

RULES & GUIDELINES

- May only use ONE sim. Download someone from the gallery, create your own, use an EA townie, whatever. Make sure you’re 100% pleased though because you’ll be stuck with them till the end!

- CAN NOT change Sim’s genetics, body shape, etc. (Hair, contacts and such are free game, but try not to alter anything that couldn’t be easily changed irl.)

- I’d appreciate it if you included a link back to this post. Thanks!

- Since this was inspired by the style of lookbooks, try to include each outfit’s corresponding CC links when applicable. Not only is this super helpful for fellow simmers, it will also save you from having to answer tons of WCIFs.

- Get creative! Take your screenshots right from CAS, pose your Sim in a parallel in-game setting, or PhotoShop your own backdrop. The choice is yours!

- I tried to make each category as gender neutral as possible, so feel free to interpret each prompt however you see fit! Just make sure to stick to the rules (or not, it’s just a game) and have fun!

P.S. - don’t worry about trying to post one a day, or finishing in a certain amount of time. Skip over prompts you don’t like, go out of order, or wait 5 months between posting them (like I did) if you want!
