Beatrix looked up from her book as she heard footsteps, them clearly walking towards her seated position on one of the gaps between arches in the courtyard. âYou better be coming to give me that muffin in your hand, or we havenât got anything to talk about.â She teased, smiling.
Zelus chuckled at her question, surprised she would think he - of all people - would hand over his muffin. âSorry, sweetheart, but I made a special trip down to the kitchens for this.â He leaned against the arch she sat in, glancing down at the snack. âUnless thereâs something in it for me, thereâs no way Iâm giving this up.â
