How often should you body brush
Do you brush your body? If not, you should start! It's one of the best things you can do for your skin and overall health. In this blog post, we will discuss how often you should body brush and the benefits of doing so.
Body brushing is a great way to exfoliate your skin and improve circulation. It also helps to remove dead skin cells, which can help to prevent clogged pores and breakouts. Body brushing can be done using a natural bristle brush or a loofah. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to use a softer brush.
Dry brushing can be practiced every day. However if you are new to body brushing you may do it every other day so your skin can get used to it especially if you have sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to start with once a week and increase to twice a week as your skin gets used to it. When first starting out be sure to use gentle, upward strokes about 3-4 on each area. Start at your feet and work your way up your body. Dry brush your arms from your hands toward your armpits as there are major lymph nodes. Brush your back from the center out. Use circular motion around your belly.. Avoid brushing your face, as this can be too harsh for the delicate skin there. After body brushing, take a shower or bath to rinse off any dead skin cells that have been loosened. Your skin will feel softer and smoother after body brushing!
