Breastplate
Foam, latex acrylic, yarn, water putty
2024
A "wearable" sculpture piece resembling a piece of armor, a "breastplate". When one enters the structure they are both protected by the armor and left vulnerable by the bulk and awkwardness of it. The medium of foam lacks any real protection from attack and the visage of a female figure also makes the wearer a target of sorts.
"Pinkie Monroe"
Oil on panel
2026
Four identical ponies of different colors resembling My Little Pony blind bag toys. Referencing Warhol's Monroe screen prints, these ponies act as a pop culture subject to parody of a piece of pop culture. The subject being a children's toy, most often a girls toy, seems out of place or unserious as a work of fine art, questioning the rules of "real" or "serious" subjects.
Vine charcoal on newsprint figures. I love charcoal despite the mess

Four select pages from my "Concordia" Zine project, about my character Jane Concord.
