I have no clue why this seems to makes me nervous omg BUT let’s start my morning with some positivity:

1. I view myself as a very giving, generous person when it comes to my time, energy, and emotional support. I tend to put others first.

2. I think my special interests tend to make people laugh; which is one of my favorite things to help people do.

3. How I act is how I feel. If I feel a certain way, I’m letting you know. I think I’m gently transparent.

4. I think I’m pretty okay at writing; or at least with word structure.

5. I can do a pretty good annoying anime boy voice and tha’s gnarly, bruh.

My distinguished goth aesthetic is great, and I love that about me

you think YOUR hyperfixations are bad? every single one of my friends from my childhood absolutely loathes the film ‘robots’ because at every playdate and sleepover i attended when i was 7 i’d force them to put it on whenever we watched a movie together, despite also watching it by myself almost every single day. i must have seen it at least a hundred times, i was genuinely that obsessed.

ive been thinking and honest to god: i think i would actually join a girl gang if the offer came. like a legitimate, hierarchical, “let’s carry knives under our skirts and beat up men” gang. fuck college

bringing back the sukeban girl gangs from the 70’s that wore long skirts against teen sexualization and fucked things up for the patriarchy

and look, of course i know that “violence is bad” and “not the answer” and that obviously this isn’t the route to go down. i know. but you can at least appreciate the fact that these girls did what they did out of anger of their limited state and actively acted against it. they hated the overly traditional clothes they were forced to wear so they personalized them. they made them something they could be proud of.

a lot of these girls came from the working class, where all the men that they knew were allowed to do the things they wanted and voice their feelings, and they wanted that.

everything was a boys-only club, so they made their own girls-only club. equality to them meant giving girls the chance to be rowdy and devious and make mistakes, just as all the boys did.

they didn’t want to be perfect schoolgirls, they just wanted to live.

obviously the times has changed. fighting for equality is more complex than its ever been. but this was one specific take on one specific problem between the female/male community. allowing “boys to be boys” but not giving an inch of room for girls to be girls.

gangs aren’t the answer, but girls supporting girls is. the way they did it wasn’t ideal, but i’m not gonna stop appreciating these girls cause everyone here thinks they’re too good and pure to understand why they made the choices they made.
