I like romantic stories conceptually and enjoy like, various forms of the genre and such outside of really, romance novels and film. I don't get drawn to romance films all that often but sometimes I start reading a romance novel and am reminded at some point why I don't do that

Like basically the reason I call myself a lesbian is that I am interested in dating and fucking women and not interested in doing those things with men. But when I am told "We exclude men from our sexual interests" I think like, idk I read too much BL and watch too much gay and straight porn to say that exactly. No hate, I'm just not sure this is a "we" situation but you can understand why I do not really use the term bisexual to describe myself.

(When it's discussing lesbians as a whole I accept the simplification because yeah it's broadly true and not even entirely untrue in my case but when it's a specific group that includes me I do suppress the urge to be contrarian)
