Choosing Ryann Bailey as Nozéa’s faceclaim felt like the right decision so I’m glad you approve.
I haven’t really given much thought to the French branch of the Lestrange family yet since I’m still working on the English one.
Buttttt I would LOVE to start brainstorming! I’d hate to think that the bloodline ended with Nozéa and Leta so maybe there’s still a surviving branch…?
this tree focuses on the descendants of Charlus and Dorea’s branch, which currently just includes their children. There may be more additions to the illustration later on, but we didn’t have enough room to fit everyone.
The names of Violetta Bulstrode’s parents are placeholders since we are unsure if we want to keep them as they are.

Ophielle Dorea Black (b. 5 January 1942 — d. 28 December 1996) was a pureblood witch and the adoptive daughter of Marius Black. There was some speculation that she a may have been a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, but these rumors were never confirmed.
Nathaira Black (née Gaunt) (b. 1848 — d. 1872) was a member of House Gaunt, born before her family's disgrace in the wizarding community. Despite the incestuous history of her lineage, Nathaira was notably free from the physical and mental ailments that plagued many of her relatives. She was the only child of Orpheus Gaunt and Delmira Corvayne, the latter having ties to a lesser-known branch of House Lestrange. During her time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Nathaira had a romantic relationship with Phineas Nigellus Black. Although Phineas's parents disapproved of their relationship, the couple married in secret, with Iola Black as their witness. Tragically, Nathaira died shortly after their marriage was formalized. Her untimely death left Phineas heartbroken, leading him to marry his more renowned wife, Ursula Flint.

Duellona Rookwood (b. 1952) was the eldest sister of Augustus Rookwood, whom she cared for in the absence of their late mother. Lady Rookwood was renowned for her beautiful features, collecting a great number of suitors by the time she was fourteen. One of Duellona's lovers was Rodolphus Lestrange, the two having secretly courted whilst the young wizard was already betrothed to Bellatrix Black. Since Rodolphus was set to marry Black, Duellona could not officially be with him, and so they continued their affair in secret. It is rumored that Rookwood may have given birth to an illegitimate child from her relationship with Lord Lestrange, which would ultimately lead to her reputation being tainted.
Octavia Avery (née Rookwood) (b. 1958) was the younger sister of Augustus Rookwood, a devoted follower of the Dark Lord. Miss Rookwood was quite impish as a child, but she blossomed into a beautiful woman once reaching maturity, earning the nickname "Night's Beauty" due to her striking raven-black hair, which resembled the starless night sky. In 1977, Octavia married her brother’s classmate and fellow Death Eater, Lionel Avery, who was her childhood crush.

-ella had a rather complicated relationship with her sister, iola. she often discouraged the younger witch’s tendency to sympathize with their peers who were of lower blood status.
-the elder black sister hated how iola was so generous to the muggleborn students that she surrounded herself with. it became apparent to elladora that iola didn’t hold the same disdain for them as the rest of their family did.
-iola never openly stated her egalitarian beliefs about muggleborns and halfbloods, but it was obvious to her siblings that she was not as harsh towards them as they were.
-elladora grew to hold some contempt towards iola, and so their relationship became quite distant as they got older. their dynamic was comparable to the one between bellatrix and andromeda, before the latter’s disownment.
-when iola was discovered to be in a relationship with a muggleborn ravenclaw student, bob hitchens, elladora was furious and attempted to murder the boy her sister was courting.
-as a child, ella was known for her impatience. she expected to get what she needed/wanted when it was requested. people who disappointed black or failed to follow through with her expectations were ultimately punished.
-at the age of fourteen, elladora beheaded her first house-elf, much to the horror of her mother. of course losing the “house mongrel” was of no consequence to the family, although the act itself unveiled the truth about ella’s mental state.
-it was always known that the witch had been born sick, a psychotic creature that tore her way through the beautiful ella max’s womb to wreak havoc upon the black family name.
-elladora did not support grindelwald. she didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t using his power to its full extent in order to completely annihilate the muggle race. ella believed that the dark wizard’s inaction was a sign of weakness and act of betrayal towards wizardkind.
-black actively shamed any pureblood family who pledged loyalty to grindelwald, including families within the sacred twenty-eight. elladora insisted that any of gellert grindelwald’s followers were traitors to the magical world.
-the reason why she didn’t get married is because ella was the secret lover of locastra vlinder. the two had been in a romantic partnership with one another since they were fifteen.
-phineas nigellus knew about his sister’s romance and didn’t approve, especially as she matured. it was expected of elladora to marry a pureblood heir, specifically someone who would benefit house black in some way.
-it was a woman’s duty to provide heirs, and in the eyes of phineas, the thought of his sister spending the rest of her life as a spinster was a shameful waste of the purity flowing through her veins.
Locastra Vlinder was a pure-blood witch of Dutch origin, born into a wealthy and noble wizarding family from the Netherlands. She was the paternal aunt of Carodista and Calidorus, acting as a parental figure to the both of them after their mother’s passing. Locastra remained unmarried, in spite of the many suitors she had during her years of youth.
