@ivecarvedawoodenheart please try to imagine that jack and bitty are always touching. whether it’s caresses to hair, or a squeeze to the waist, or arms wrapped around from behind, they both find the touch so grounding and comforting. jack zimmermann, humongous romantic that he is, still has trouble sometimes articulating how he feels when he gets overwhelmed with the love he feels for bitty. they decide that three squeezes while holding each other, in whatever way, gives him an easy way to say I love you without tripping over the words. imagine that even when jack and bitty are fighting, they still have interweaved fingers connecting them. im so!!!!!!!!!
