10 things that I love–
1. smiles. the way that they are so unique, how people sometimes smile when they are nervous. crooked smiles, close mouthed smiles, smiles so big that they command attention.
2. the color yellow; sunshine, flowers, paint. something about it just screams happiness. I cannot be sad when I paint in bright yellow.
3. books. real ones. the smell of the paper and hard covers and highlighting my favorite parts and every single story on my over flowing bookshelf.
4. art. expression. the fact that a painting can mean everything to one person and nothing to another simply because art is meant to be embraced individually.
5. warm drinks, the smell of coffee, how they wake me up or calm me down, fill my lungs up with comfort.
6. my worn out converse, because I have travelled miles in them and they mold to my feet, because they remind me I don’t have to grow up yet.
7. the smell of fresh trees and getting out of the city so I can remind myself that nature is very pure and that no one is ever really as trapped as they feel.
8. laughing uncontrollably, sometimes at movies, sometimes with friends
9. pictures.
10. constant change. though it used to scare me, I now find comfort in the fact that today is the only day of its kind. I will never experience it again, so I choose to accept and embrace it.
