Hell yeah! We just need to decide the pace. Are we doing a full read through? And how many chapters a week is reasonable?

It's a delicate balance between making sure we get at least a couple of shots in each session, but not getting so drunk it makes reading impossible later in the series when Damen starts waxing poetic about Laurent's golden tresses.

..... or we could just take a few days off and read the whole thing, perpetually drunk. 😂

Y'all this is NOT a protest or subversive act. This is Trump and the military identifying with this song. They believe themselves to be leaders of the revolution.

Regardless of who's idea it was, people are still seeing this as a rallying cry against Trump, and I have a hard time seeing that as a problem.

If you know anything about Les Miserables, you know this song is not appropriate for Trump or what he's doing right now. His ignorance on the matter is still a win. He's unwittingly fueling the revolution against himself and his administration.

Hama would have had so many ballads of his fearless big brother and all their childhood adventures.

And he remembers every. single. one. When Haleth annoys him, he sits outside meduseld and sings of the time Haleth fell face first off his horse and got a mouth full of mud. (He wanted to say horse dung, but that had too many syllables). Haleth hates it, but it makes Héra laugh every time, so he lets Háma be. For now.

I think the big problem with most criticism around new LotR media is that it will alway be compared to the LotR movies. And the problem with comparing things to once in a lifetime bolt of lightning masterpieces is that they will never measure up. Like did I enjoy War of the Rohirrim? Yeah I did, quite a bit actually. Is it as good as the LotR films? Obviously not, but it wasn’t trying to be.
